To whomever it may concern, confused parents of teenagers in particular…

Our son is entering grade 12 in a very good high school, and is doing very well academically and socially. However, grade 12 is the year in which post-secondary education decisions are being made, and notwithstanding his very positive standing and that in grade 10 a “Civics and Career” course attempted to guide students in this respect, we were unsure as to which path to pursue. The uncertainty stemmed mostly from not being sure what his ‘true calling’ is.

After doing some research, we found Tetra, which offered precisely the assistance we required. The first step was an initial comprehensive introductory meeting in which the consultant took ample time to know our son. Following that meeting, our son filled the following on-line tests: “Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator”, the “Strong Interest Inventory”, and other assessments. The last step was a feedback meeting whereby the results of the tests were explained to us.

I believe all the above would be common, at least at the surface, to any company providing such a service. However, we can attest from experience about the following:

First and foremost, everything and anything to do with Tetra was absolutely professional: from the information we were provided with when we first contacted Tetra, the web site, the office (we used the Toronto office), the administrative staff – all were consistently pleasant and 100% professional.

Our consultant was fully engaged and engaging: Between the introductory meeting and his analysis of the test results, we felt as if he knew our son for years. I cannot recall receiving any other service that was delivered is such a personal, focused way. Not only he knew what he was talking about, he made sure that we, and our son in particular, understand all the nuances of the psychological jargon we are unfamiliar with. Notwithstanding that we did not really know what to expect, we could have never imagined this quality and level of service.

We feel far better equipped to undertake these important decisions having gone through this process, with Tetra, and with our particular consultant. We have no hesitation recommending this service, which we view as a long-term investment, to others and are very pleased we did it.
